True North Power Yoga is conveniently located in the quaint shopping plaza of Riverdale Farms on Rte. 10/202 (Simsbury Road) in Avon.   We are an easily accessible from Avon, Simsbury, West Hartford, Canton, Granby and Bloomfield.  Our address is 136 Simsbury Road, Building 6, behind Toshi Japanese Restaurant and directly across from the Lime Grill.   Parking is vast and free.

Baptiste Inspired Heated Power Yoga and Yoga Therapy Studio in Avon Connecticut

Baptiste Inspired Power Vinyasa - classes are taught by highly trained certified Baptiste teachers.  The class is rooted in the Baptiste methodology.  It is a challenging class that is designed to shape your physical body, stretch your mind, improve strength, flexibility and inspire your life.  Students are encouraged to connect breath to movement with dynamic sequence of postures and led breath by breath.  All levels are welcomed. Classes are 60 and 75 minutes.

Power Vinyasa - class is for all levels.  This class is for people who are ready to tap into their inner power and physical, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually begin to transform.  It is designed to strengthen and tone your body and ignite a calm, peaceful inner confidence.  This is a physical practice that is both vigorous and challenging and accessible for all levels.  You will build strength, find balance, develop flexibility, and increase endurance. Classes are 60 and 75 minutes.  

​Kundalini - A Dynamic Practice for Anyone looking to be Healthy, Happy, and Whole!  Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is a powerful and sacred science. Acknowledging the precious but challenging gift of human life, the practice of Kundalini Yoga calls us to “uplift ourselves and each other” by experiencing our fullest potential as humans.

Practicing this “Yoga of Awareness”, we learn to be at home within ourselves, in the form of a
vital physical body, a balanced nervous system, a clear mind, and an open heart. We will discuss and experience the 5 elements of all Kundalini Yoga Practice:

                                Kriya (postures), Mantra (chanting), Mudra (hand positions),
                                              Pranayama (breathwork) and Meditation.

Power Foundation - classes are for beginners, students recovering from injuries, or seasoned students looking to slow down and focus on breath, alignment and technique.  This class provides the fundamental tools for a strong, smart, power practice.  This class will break-it-down to ensure you understand the intelligent mechanics that make hard poses easy.  Build confidence and knowledge with this class.  No experience necessary.   Classes are 60 minutes.

Pam I Am Signature – This class really kicks it up a notch!  If you are a seasoned student or curious student ready to fuel your inner fire, get ready to be invigorated with this physically challenging and playful class.  You will recharge your mind, wake up your body, and challenge your physical and mental potential by pushing the limits of what is possible. This is an advance power vinyasa class that includes arm balances, inversions, and fast movement.  That being said, it's for everybody!!  Come and join us on our mat and get inspired by our awesome strong and compassionate community. Be prepared to sweat and rock it out on your yoga mat.  Classes are 60 and 75 minutes and music is played.

Restore and Recover - This class is a gentle class that allows you to reconnect with your body, mind and spirit through deep breathing, deep stretching, hip opening, and stillness.  After a long restorative asana you will leave refreshed, restored and rejuvenated.  This class is 75 minutes.

Yoga Children’s Classes

Ages 5-8, classes include; meditation, breath work, poses, games, music, rest  

Yoga Youth Classes

Ages 8-12, classes include; meditation, breath work, poses, games, music, anatomy, partnering, relating exercises, savasana 

Teen Classes

Ages 13-18, class includes complete asana practice.  Special pricing for group rate. Inquire within.

Mother/ Daughter Class

Ages 10 and up – meditation, breath work, partnering, flow and challenging poses, relating exercises, savasana 

Meditation – A seated or guided body awareness mediation for beginners and seasoned practitioners.   Meditation is 30 minutes.

Addiction and Recovery - The combination of yoga and traditional psychotherapy is a perfect marriage to healing.  This therapy combines the 12 Step principles, community, methodology of yoga, and cognitive behavioral therapy.  The intention is to bring full awareness and empower students by bringing self-compassion, truth, choice, self-acceptance, mindfulness, balance and courage into their lives.  This program will teach students to embrace their addiction and fears by teaching them new coping skills, self-discipline, physical body awareness, as well as supporting their search for a spiritual and human connection.   The skills offered will unite and support recovery through the integration of physical, mental and spiritual body.   We believe the natural innate human response is to bond and connect with others and through the teachings and practice of yoga true integration is achieved.   Group classes are 90 minutes; Individual sessions are 60 minutes.
